What is Bomonti beer?
Bomonti Unfiltered is a naturally cloudy lager. Most lagers are filtered bright before bottling. Bomonti isn't, so it keeps more body, a softer and rounder texture, and more of the grain and yeast aroma. It pours hazy on purpose.
A brewery from 1890 Istanbul
The Bomonti story begins in 1890, when two Swiss brothers named Bomonti opened a brewery in Istanbul. The district around it still carries their name. Today Bomonti is brewed in Türkiye by Anadolu Efes, the country's largest brewer.
Bomonti vs. Efes
Both come from the same Turkish brewer, but they are different beers for different moments:
- Efes Pilsener is a clean, crisp, filtered pilsner. It's the Turkish beer most Americans already know.
- Bomonti Unfiltered is cloudy, softer and fuller. It's the one to pour when a guest wants something Turkish beyond the pilsner.

How to serve Bomonti
Pour it cold into a tall glass and let the haze show. It works with meze, grilled meats, kebab, seafood and anything with a little spice.
