About Kalara Corp
Kalara Corp was founded in 2007 by Sunay and Nesli Ciner to connect exceptional wines with extraordinary people. Nearly two decades on, that still means the same unglamorous thing: getting on a plane, standing in the vineyard, and carrying back the bottles that deserve an American audience.
Most harvests we're in Magnesia, in the Aegean hills of Türkiye, picking by hand alongside the crew. It isn't a photo opportunity. It's how you learn what a vintage actually is before you commit to it.
What we import
Türkiye — native grapes that grow nowhere else, from Chamlija in Thrace, Sevilen, Vinkara, Kavaklıdere and Prodom. Efes Pilsener, which we distribute exclusively in California, Bomonti Unfiltered, and rakı.
Greece — wine at every price point, Mythos, Fix and Septem beer, ouzo, tsipouro and Greek spirits.
France — Chablis, Provence rosé, Languedoc blends from Vignobles Vellas, Galipette cidre, and La Girouette beer from Montpellier, which we import exclusively to the United States.
Italy — Prosecco DOC from Treviso, Tuscan Sangiovese and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.
How we work
We import and distribute ourselves. There is no middleman between the producer and your account, which is why our pricing works and why we can tell you exactly who made the wine and when it was picked. We sell to licensed restaurant, bar and retail accounts, and we're reachable by text or call around the clock, because restaurant orders don't keep office hours.
