Collection: Turkish Wines
Türkiye has been making wine for roughly six thousand years, and almost none of it reaches the American market. The interesting bottles are the ones made from grapes that grow nowhere else.
Papazkarası, from Thrace near the Bulgarian border, is pale and high-toned. Kalecik Karası, from outside Ankara, is soft and red-fruited. Çalkarası, from the Aegean interior, makes one of the few genuinely serious rosés grown in Asia. Öküzgözü and Boğazkere, from the east, are the backbone of Anatolian reds.
We import from Chamlija in Kırklareli, Sevilen, Vinkara, Kavaklıdere and Prodom. Every wine here is available to restaurant, bar and retail accounts — request pricing and we'll get samples out.
